Acoustic Guitar Sessions Presents Hot Buttered Rum
A longtime favorite of the festival circuit, Hot Buttered Rum delivers a heartfelt, tuneful string-band sound that is sure to put a smile on your face. During a recent visit to the AG studios, the band’s three principal songwriters–Nat Keefe, Erik Yates, and Aaron Redner–sat down with us for a wide-ranging conversation about their various instruments, their approach to songwriting, and the evolution of the group’s sound.

They also discuss the challenges of adding drums to the acoustic format and weigh in on the upcoming Grateful Dead farewell shows. In addition, the full band offers performances of a pair of well-crafted originals, along with a cover of the Dead’s “New Speedway Boogie.”
