Ani DiFranco talks about her distinctive guitar style, the burden of being a political icon, and the lessons she learned from Pete Seeger. She also plays two songs from her 2014 album, Allergic to Water–the title track and the soulful and bittersweet “Rainy Parade.”

Of her musical and political friend and mentor, the late Pete Seeger, DiFranco says, “Every interaction with him was a lesson. He was like a Buddha. By the end of his life, he just emanated that sort of loving, respectful energy.”
