Tommy Emmanuel Performs and Teaches ‘Halfway Home’ | Acoustic Guitar Sessions in Place
Tommy Emmanuel teaching one of his impressive fingerstyle compositions—not a bad way to start to our revamped video performance series, Acoustic Guitar Sessions in Place.

“I’ve got COVID fingers today,” jokes Emmanuel after ripping through the piece. The guitarist plays not only with speed and accuracy but an awful lot of soul as well. He then proceeds to break down the chord shapes and bass movement, while reminding you to “get a solid groove.”
As usual, Emmanuel is playing his Maton TE Personal, a modern acoustic-electric hand-built to the virtuoso’s exacting specs. He says, “It’s a beast!”
