Acoustic Guitar Sessions Presents Adam Levy

Even if you don’t know it, you’ve probably heard Adam Levy’s fine guitar work.

Even if you don’t know it, you’ve probably heard Adam Levy’s fine guitar work. That’s Levy with his bluesy soloing on Tracy Chapman’s “Give Me One Reason,” and he also appears on albums by the many other artists he’s worked for as a sideman, among them Norah Jones, Ani DiFranco, and Allen Toussaint.

The Los Angeles–based Levy is also a first rate singer-songwriter, educator, and journalist, and he has penned many lessons and features for AG. Not long ago, he was in the San Francisco Bay Area for a series of gigs, including an AG Live workshop, and he took the opportunity to sit down and film a pair of pieces for AG Sessions.

Here Levy plays a pair of original pieces—“Blueberry Blonde” and “I Wish I Could Change Your Mind.” He’s on his Waterloo WL-S Deluxe, a modern interpretation of an ornate 1930s Stella guitar.
