I used a key finder app, sang into it, it told me my voice key , which is B. Tuned it into open B . Perfect.

Yes and I also needed a resonator and just bought an extra nut , and lossened the strings , put the new nut behind the original nut and on top of the fretboard right behind it . Marked the sides with removable stickers as they lined up to the guitar tuner A thru g etc . Easy, the shop didn’t have a steel nut extender. so there you go too .

It should be able to handle the additional tension resulting from an increased nut height. Then purchase a steel nut height extender for under $10 – voila!
