Around 1984 I took out 2 books from the library, “building an acoustic guitar” by irving Sloane and the ‘guitar handbook’ by Ralph deyner. Read them 3 times over and got started fixing guitars..These are critical for the beginning Luthier. (And player). Great story and inspiration

I do simular work and set ups on some of the same name guitars been doing this since 1973. I am from Los Angeles but left in the 90s thank you for doing what you do.
