Hi Juan! Here are a couple things you might want to check out:
Jeffrey Pepper Rodger’s lesson on how to play like James Taylor.(It also has a section exploring his guitars.)
And, here’s our parlor guitar guide.That one won’t specifically help you sound like James Taylor, but will give you some ideas for what to look for in a small bodied guitar.

James uses lots of different guitars however the one he mostly plays now in an Olson. I reached out to James Olson who only makes very few a year and he said I could get a duplicate of JT’s guitar for $30k. I wish I could justify the purchase… anyway… I would look into Martins or… ck out the Zager OM 80. Smaller body bright tones , beautiful construction.
If you have a JT style of playing you will like this one … not great for open chord strummers.
